ABOUT US

Utah Association of Student Loan Administrators (UASLA)

In the early 1980s the Utah Association of Student Loan Administrators (UASLA) was created by a small group of colleges and universities in Utah as a resource to help one another serve their student body and understand Federal Perkins Student Loan regulations. 

We meet each year for an annual conference to expand our knowledge on tuition, account receivable information, and Federal Perkins Loans, and to support one another in our efforts in collecting from and educating our students on their financial obligations.

Today it has grown to include several colleges and universities and higher education vendors.  As times are changing we are too!   Our goal is to move forward with change and growing the organization.  

 

In 2023 we are turning our focus on:

  • Helping students understand their financial responsibilities and obligations.

  • Supporting colleges and universities in handling and collecting past due debt.   (tuition, library, parking, housing, and miscellaneous accounts receivables)

  • Continuing our education of CFPB (Consumer Financial Credit Bureau) 

  • Working together with Higher Education Vendors to collect on outstanding debt.
